Build The Future

Scouting America’s mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lifetime. The French Creek Council has delivered life-changing experiences to thousands of young people for over fifty years. These experiences are based on the values found in the Scout Oath & Law.

The Friends of Scouting Campaign is one of the French Creek Council’s most significant sources of income generated to help support our units deliver a quality program throughout the year. Considering the total expenses in the Council’s operating budget we invest approximately $300 per scout annually to support our area’s units.

The $85 annual youth registration fee goes directly to Scouting America for program development – none of it stays local with the French Creek Council to help pay for any of our council’s operating costs.

By financially supporting the French Creek Council’s 2024 “Build the Future” annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) Campaign, you help further Scouting’s mission.

State of the Council presentations allow our Scouting families, volunteers and friends to learn about our council and contribute financial resources to deliver Scouting here in Erie, Crawford, Venango, Mercer and Forest counties. Many companies and employers offer Matching Gift and Volunteer Dollar programs. These programs can match dollar for dollar on your Scouting Gift or support to a local charity for your volunteer hours donated. These funds can help offset your Pack or Scouts BSA program fee.
